Speaker A

Please stand clear of the doors.

Speaker A

Por favor man.

Speaker A

Tengan se allijado de las puertas to our new passengers.

Speaker A

Aloha and welcome aboard.

Speaker A

Hey everybody, thanks for joining us.

Speaker A

I'm Tim Scott joined by his lovely wife dawn here on resortloop.com the can't wait.

Speaker A

To the magic.

Speaker A

Continuing our wish adventure.

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker A

On the high seas.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

We're going to start this show from.

Speaker B

Probably our night's sleep.

Speaker A

Our night's sleep.

Speaker B

Well, we sort of knew that the crew door might be a problem and we were right.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

So I, I don't think that the crew realizes how loud that door is because they're probably so used to it.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker B

And it really truly is right next to our cabin.

Speaker A

Right next.

Speaker A

I'm right outside the door.

Speaker A

Right to the left.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

And I think the room service people use that as well.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

So it was about maybe 1:15 in the morning or so when we finally drifted off to sleep.

Speaker B

There wasn't any banging noise waking us up.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker B

It was then it started again about 4:30 in the morning.

Speaker A

And it's always tough when it's random.

Speaker A

It's not at like set intervals.

Speaker B

Right, right.

Speaker B

It's just random.

Speaker B

So we didn't sleep that great.

Speaker B

But you know, we're on vacation.

Speaker B

We didn't have to get up and go to work so we can function.

Speaker A

That's true.

Speaker A

We didn't have to get up super early.

Speaker A

But it did start again earlier the next morning.

Speaker A

So there was that.

Speaker B

Exactly.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

But today is castaway key day.

Speaker A

Woo.

Speaker B

And if you've listened to us in the past, you know that the Scott family, we are not beach people.

Speaker A

Not necessarily beach people.

Speaker B

No, we're not.

Speaker B

But we love to look at the beach.

Speaker B

We love to look at the ocean.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

I just don't like the sticky sunscreen and the sand then sticks to the sunscreen and the sweat.

Speaker B

The whole combo just is not appealing to me.

Speaker B

But the island of Castaway Cay is just beyond gorgeous.

Speaker A

It's gorgeous.

Speaker A

It's very well done.

Speaker A

If you're a beach person and you like a full day out in the sun.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

Highly recommend.

Speaker B

You would love it for sure.

Speaker B

Our daughter in law would love it for sure.

Speaker B

She is a beach person.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

So we started our morning with breakfast or we decided to go to the sit down breakfast at 1923.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

And that was very, very good.

Speaker B

I had really good brioche French toast with like cinnamon.

Speaker B

It looked really butter.

Speaker B

It was delicious.

Speaker A

I got the southern hash for the first time.

Speaker A

I believe it was Called the Southern hash.

Speaker A

Fantastic.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

Chorizo in it.

Speaker A

That was spicy.

Speaker A

But not too spicy.

Speaker A

Yeah, but not boring.

Speaker A

It was.

Speaker A

It was very good.

Speaker A

I highly recommend.

Speaker B

Yeah, we had a really nice serving team.

Speaker B

They did an excellent job.

Speaker B

Oh, we did very good.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

And after that, then we just decided to hang out a little bit.

Speaker B

There was some trivia things going on which just going to say we may have won.

Speaker A

We may have won.

Speaker B

We may have won.

Speaker A

And part of two.

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker B

Well, the first one we won, we tied with three other groups.

Speaker B

So they're with a four way.

Speaker B

So they always do like a tiebreaker question.

Speaker B

And the tiebreaker question was how many carvings are there in the tree of life?

Speaker A

Great.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker A

And I honestly, I had no idea.

Speaker B

I didn't either.

Speaker B

We'll drop the actual amount in the comments so that we don't spoil it for anybody.

Speaker A

Oh, there you go.

Speaker A

So you can guess at home.

Speaker B

All right.

Speaker B

So I guessed my favorite number just because it's my favorite number and you went with it.

Speaker B

We ended up winning.

Speaker A

We won.

Speaker B

So we were excited.

Speaker B

The fun couple that was next to us, they weren't very happy we won.

Speaker B

No, they were super fun to talk to.

Speaker A

They had a good time.

Speaker A

They did, yeah.

Speaker B

And then we met up with them again.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker A

At the next trivia we went to.

Speaker B

Yeah, I forgot which one that was.

Speaker A

That was.

Speaker B

Was it Disney parks level one trivia or something?

Speaker A

I think it's one we won the first time.

Speaker B

Oh, okay.

Speaker B

The second one might have been.

Speaker B

Was it.

Speaker B

Oh, the animation one.

Speaker B

They actually.

Speaker B

No.

Speaker B

There was a single lady that was there that she knew her stuff.

Speaker B

She won.

Speaker B

There were only four groups total and they always have four little medals.

Speaker B

So they gave one to each group and it was one that we already had, I think.

Speaker B

Anyways, we ended up swapping with the couple.

Speaker B

They're like, oh, if you give us one of your Donalds, we'll give us this one.

Speaker B

And so we swapped and so that.

Speaker A

Was sweet because I think they're working on the collection.

Speaker B

They are so glad to help out with that.

Speaker A

Very happy to help.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

So we swapped and they had theirs and they were excited.

Speaker B

So that was really fun.

Speaker B

I think we napped because we needed a nap.

Speaker A

We did.

Speaker A

After.

Speaker A

After the.

Speaker A

The banging and slamming, we kind of needed a nap.

Speaker B

So we did.

Speaker A

But you know, it's a cruise.

Speaker A

If you want a nap nap.

Speaker A

There's no better place to nap than on a cruise ship most of the time.

Speaker B

Exactly.

Speaker B

It was a pretty early nap, I think because then we went to the pool.

Speaker A

We did go to the pool.

Speaker B

We really enjoy Disney pools.

Speaker A

We do.

Speaker B

I do.

Speaker B

Honestly, I think I like the pools.

Speaker B

I like the hot tubs and stuff.

Speaker B

On the Dream and Fantasy.

Speaker A

Oh, yeah.

Speaker B

Their pool is okay.

Speaker B

But I'm always worried about stepping down and getting in and out of their pool because it's kind of a big step.

Speaker A

Oh.

Speaker B

In and out.

Speaker B

They don't really have like a ladder or.

Speaker B

I don't.

Speaker B

I don't know.

Speaker B

I can't remember exactly.

Speaker B

But the Wish class ships, it's just a nice little ladder up and down into the pool.

Speaker B

And it is kind of an infinity pool.

Speaker B

Doesn't quite go up to the edge of the ship because it has, like the over spillage there.

Speaker B

But it is nice.

Speaker B

But we really, truly love the tiled loungers and recliners.

Speaker A

That is relaxing.

Speaker B

It really is.

Speaker B

But the water was chillier than I would have liked it to be.

Speaker A

Well, yeah, it was chilly.

Speaker A

But, you know, once I get used to it, I'm okay.

Speaker A

But.

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker A

I'm not a fan of cold water necessarily anyway, as most people probably know.

Speaker B

No, I was.

Speaker B

Not at all.

Speaker B

But like you said, once you get used to it, it was fine.

Speaker B

But it is just nice.

Speaker B

And there wasn't anybody there because they were all out on Castaway Cay.

Speaker B

And then we got in the little bench pool, which.

Speaker B

Yes, exactly what it sounds like.

Speaker B

It's a nice tiled bench.

Speaker B

Six inches of water to stick your feet in.

Speaker A

Yep.

Speaker B

And then the water trickles down the back of the bench.

Speaker A

Also very comfortable.

Speaker A

It was very enjoyable.

Speaker A

You don't get the view you get from that infinity pool in the back.

Speaker B

No, you don't.

Speaker B

But it's a very nice little place to sit.

Speaker A

And it's not very thick pool either.

Speaker B

No, those pools aren't thick.

Speaker B

Yeah, they're little for the adults.

Speaker B

All of the pools on the Wish Class ships are tiny.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

But there's a lot of.

Speaker B

Of them.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

But they're not all open at the same time.

Speaker A

No.

Speaker A

We need to check out the Chippendale pool, too.

Speaker A

I really want to see that one.

Speaker A

That might be a good pool for us to take a look at.

Speaker B

Yeah, I think so.

Speaker A

Put that on the calendar.

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker B

And then I did something that I've never done before.

Speaker B

I did.

Speaker B

I did it.

Speaker A

What'd you do?

Speaker B

I rode the Aquamouse.

Speaker A

She did.

Speaker A

It was.

Speaker B

It was really, really fun.

Speaker B

It really, truly was it.

Speaker B

You can ride as a single rider, which I did.

Speaker B

Or you can go with two people.

Speaker B

To ride alone, you have to be 48 inches tall.

Speaker B

To ride it at all, you have to be 42 inches tall.

Speaker B

And the dad and the daughter that were ahead of me in line, she was so excited.

Speaker B

She finally hit the height requirements that she could ride, and she'd been on it a couple times, and she told me it wasn't scary, that I would be okay.

Speaker B

I told her it was my first time.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

And so I got.

Speaker B

When you're a single rider, you sit in the back of the raft.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

I sat down.

Speaker B

I thought, this is not going to go well for me to get out of the raft.

Speaker A

You were fine.

Speaker B

I worried a little bit about that on the ride, but it was really, really fun.

Speaker B

So you kind of go up the little ramp, and then they show cute little cartoons.

Speaker B

And then ahead of me, all I can see is this spray that's going to spray my face, my head, my everything.

Speaker B

And I'm like, oh, I'm not usually a get my head wet kind of person.

Speaker B

But you know what?

Speaker B

It was okay.

Speaker A

I had to embrace it.

Speaker B

At that point, I didn't have any other choice.

Speaker B

What was I going to do?

Speaker B

Jump out of the raft.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker B

I don't want to get banned from the Disney Cruise Line.

Speaker B

I love it.

Speaker B

Did that and then kind of whips you around a little bit, and it was really fun.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

And then when you come up, I was like, okay, I'm sort of stuck in the girls.

Speaker B

Like, use the rails and push yourself.

Speaker B

I was like, oh, okay.

Speaker B

So there's little rails there.

Speaker B

You kind of just push yourself along till it catches on the little conveyor belt again and get you up.

Speaker B

And she's looking at me, and I'm like, I'm gonna give it a whirl and get out.

Speaker B

But I don't know.

Speaker B

And she's like, swing your legs out.

Speaker B

Like, both legs out.

Speaker B

And then the back rests are very, very hard.

Speaker B

They're not, like, inflatable.

Speaker B

There's foam or something in them.

Speaker B

And she's like, see if you can push yourself up from there.

Speaker B

She's like, if not, I'll help you out.

Speaker B

I said, all right, then.

Speaker B

But I was able to push myself out.

Speaker B

Get out.

Speaker B

I did it.

Speaker A

Please dismount the attraction.

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker A

So I chose not to go on the ride because I just feel like it was a Disney news news cycle.

Speaker A

I didn't want to be in Disney Podcaster.

Speaker A

Trapped.

Speaker A

Like, trapped like a clogged drain.

Speaker B

He would have been totally fine.

Speaker A

A little tidy bull man trying to flush me out.

Speaker A

There'd be pictures all over the Internet.

Speaker B

Oh, goodness.

Speaker B

He Would have been totally fine.

Speaker B

Getting out might have been a little challenge, but I think you would have.

Speaker A

I don't think so.

Speaker A

Well, we'll see.

Speaker B

Maybe the next time.

Speaker B

Get you.

Speaker A

I'd rather do it in the dreamer.

Speaker A

Wonder where the twos are.

Speaker A

All clear.

Speaker A

All over the deck.

Speaker A

So everybody can see me struggling in there.

Speaker A

Mommy, what's going on with the man in the tube?

Speaker B

Oh, goodness gracious.

Speaker B

But anyway, this is the one you should have done, though, because the tubes are pretty much dark off.

Speaker A

I know, but I'm gonna see.

Speaker A

I had to go to the end where I could see is.

Speaker A

That would have been a good call.

Speaker A

Oh, it was like just sending people down, trying to lodge me loose.

Speaker B

Oh, mercy.

Speaker A

Anyway.

Speaker A

But you had a good time.

Speaker B

Yes, we did.

Speaker B

We had a really good time.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

And then we got all cleaned up and.

Speaker A

Yep.

Speaker B

We decided to take another nap.

Speaker B

And we completely skipped the show.

Speaker A

We did.

Speaker B

It was Little Mermaid.

Speaker B

It's about an hour long.

Speaker B

And I think it probably was very, very good.

Speaker A

But sure, it was good.

Speaker B

We were so exhausted.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

From not sleeping.

Speaker A

Great.

Speaker A

To just be doing a lot of stuff.

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker B

So we did that.

Speaker B

Then we got all cleaned up and time to head to dinner at Arendale.

Speaker B

I realized that when I packed.

Speaker B

I did not.

Speaker B

I packed a white shirt to go with these blue cute pants that I have.

Speaker B

It was not the right white shirt.

Speaker B

The white shirt that I had is like a nice dressier little top.

Speaker B

The one I pulled out was just a plain old white T shirt.

Speaker A

You were fine.

Speaker B

Well, I made it work because I didn't have much of a choice at that point because he went with one suitcase.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker B

So I.

Speaker B

There was not room to pack extra just in case I might change my mind.

Speaker B

Outfit.

Speaker A

You didn't want to show up Anna or Elsa because you're in their restaurant.

Speaker A

So that'd just be rude to not look better than they do.

Speaker A

Oh.

Speaker B

Although our table mates.

Speaker B

She had on an Anna outfit.

Speaker B

She looked adorable.

Speaker B

She had the ears and the little dress.

Speaker B

She looks so cute.

Speaker A

They chatted with each other for a little bit there.

Speaker A

Anna and her.

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker B

That was darling.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

So dinner.

Speaker B

My dinner was not great.

Speaker B

I. I'm a picky eater, so please do not go by me because I have a shellfish allergy.

Speaker B

I do not eat any fish at all.

Speaker B

Because I'm always worried in a restaurant because I'm always worried about cross contamination.

Speaker B

You know, they're preparing shrimp next to cod or whatever.

Speaker B

I just don't do it.

Speaker B

So I ordered the meatballs and the egg Noodles, and it's a Scandinavian dish and had lingonberry chutney on it.

Speaker B

I tried that.

Speaker B

That was really actually quite good, but there wasn't much of it.

Speaker B

But the meatballs were just not my thing, so I did not eat that.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

So that's okay.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

I had the cod.

Speaker A

They called it crispy.

Speaker A

Maybe it was panko.

Speaker A

I don't know if these were panko in there or not, but, I mean, it was a nice piece of fish.

Speaker A

It was very good.

Speaker A

The appetizer had the shrimp and scallop in the pastry.

Speaker A

Yeah, the dome pastry on it.

Speaker A

Pastry was good.

Speaker A

It had a good flavor.

Speaker A

The scallop was a little overcooked, a little rubbery.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

But I mean, it was still good.

Speaker A

I still ate it.

Speaker A

Cobb was good.

Speaker A

Nothing to write home about, right?

Speaker B

It was okay.

Speaker A

But, I mean, it was.

Speaker A

It was.

Speaker A

It was done very well.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

They're mass producing a lot of meals, you know, so.

Speaker B

But then we decided to do one of our favorite things that we do on a Disney cruise, and that's watch funnel vision.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

Well, I watched you nap.

Speaker A

Yeah, I napped for part of it.

Speaker A

I hung in there as long as I could for a little bit.

Speaker B

You did a good job.

Speaker B

It was Monsters Incs.

Speaker B

And honestly, I have not seen Monsters Inc. All the way through.

Speaker B

I don't know.

Speaker B

Probably since it came out.

Speaker A

It's been a long time.

Speaker B

It's been a long time.

Speaker B

So a lot of things on there, I'm like.

Speaker B

I had forgotten.

Speaker B

So it was almost like it was a.

Speaker B

A new movie for me.

Speaker B

It was really, really good.

Speaker A

Sometimes you got to go back and watch those again, because I think a lot of parts, too forget.

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker B

I had to go get me my pretzel that I had been dying for.

Speaker B

I was like, oh, I have to have a pretzel.

Speaker B

The keg and compass pretzels are so delicious.

Speaker B

And then it wasn't.

Speaker A

And it wasn't.

Speaker A

It was weird.

Speaker B

Oh, it was awful.

Speaker A

I think it was bigger than it was before, or you thought you.

Speaker B

I know it was significantly bigger than it was, and so I know it's not.

Speaker B

I don't think it's the same.

Speaker B

It didn't have this, like, a good flavor to it at all.

Speaker B

So I ate a few bites of that.

Speaker B

You ate a few bites?

Speaker B

And we called it done.

Speaker B

And.

Speaker B

And then we got ice cream when Monsters, Inc. Was over, and then we came and we went to bed.

Speaker A

That was the day.

Speaker B

That was the day.

Speaker B

It was pretty late by then.

Speaker A

It was a late day.

Speaker B

So Anyway, do you want to keep going for this morning?

Speaker A

Let's go.

Speaker A

Let's go.

Speaker A

Another half day.

Speaker B

Okay.

Speaker B

So sleeping last night was better?

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

Not too much door banging, but some.

Speaker B

Some but not much.

Speaker B

I honestly didn't hear it like after 12:15, 12:30.

Speaker B

Ish.

Speaker B

So not bad.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

Didn't.

Speaker A

I'm sure it was Steward say he asked people not to use it if they didn't.

Speaker B

He did, he did.

Speaker B

But he said there's kind of supposed to use it.

Speaker B

So they're not using the guest door.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker A

So not blocking the elevators and that kind of thing.

Speaker A

So said I kind of get some.

Speaker B

Of this stuff I don't get though, because they're like, oh, they don't want to interfere with the guest.

Speaker B

But then you see a lot of crew eating like at Marceline Market.

Speaker B

Oh, you know, so you're like, okay.

Speaker B

Which I don't have a problem with.

Speaker B

Have to eat, eat.

Speaker B

Come and eat the good food.

Speaker B

It's all good.

Speaker A

Like I said, just put a softer clothes on it.

Speaker A

Everything would be perfect.

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker B

It's all.

Speaker B

And then honestly it was maybe 5:36 before I heard it again.

Speaker B

So I would.

Speaker B

I'm always up and down during the night anyway.

Speaker B

But still slept pretty good.

Speaker A

Cool.

Speaker B

Good time.

Speaker A

Excellent.

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker B

And we went to 1923 for breakfast.

Speaker B

Again.

Speaker A

Breakfast again.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

So it was good.

Speaker B

I had scrambled eggs and a piece of toast this time.

Speaker B

It's good.

Speaker A

But again I opted for the O. Eggs Benedict.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

Which is very good.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

So it was a good breakfast.

Speaker B

And then we decided because we were at Lookout Key at Lighthouse Point, we've never been here ever been.

Speaker B

That we decided we should go.

Speaker A

We have to go.

Speaker A

We have to check it out.

Speaker B

We did.

Speaker B

So we put on our swimsuits, our little bag, sunglasses.

Speaker B

Yep.

Speaker B

And we headed out.

Speaker B

Now this is part of the.

Speaker B

I'm going to say it wrong, so you say it.

Speaker B

Island.

Speaker B

What's the name of the island?

Speaker A

Eleuthra.

Speaker B

Eleuthera Island.

Speaker B

Thank you.

Speaker B

It shares space with other cruise lines.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

So we could see there was a carnival ship docked out there.

Speaker B

Now Carnival does not have a pier here.

Speaker A

No.

Speaker B

They tender, which means they take some of the light lifeboats and they shuttle people from the ship to the land to the island and then from the island back to the ship when they're done.

Speaker B

Disney opted to build a piercing, but because of the coral reefs and things that are there that they're not legally permitted to destroy.

Speaker B

Thankfully that it's a preservation area, they have to dock pretty far out to be safe and not disturb anything.

Speaker B

And then they built the pier.

Speaker B

Now, I heard the piers about a half mile long.

Speaker B

Do you hear that?

Speaker A

I think maybe I did hear that.

Speaker A

Everyone was showing pictures and it looks on the pictures it looks like it's 10 miles long.

Speaker A

It looks like Key West.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

Or the Keys is what it looked like.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

It's the walk we left the ship.

Speaker B

I think it was around 9ish the left or 9.

Speaker B

So there was a beautiful breeze blowing.

Speaker B

Wasn't too terribly hot.

Speaker B

Definitely humid.

Speaker B

So you set a timer just to see how long it would take us.

Speaker A

And the length of the pier for us walking two old people.

Speaker A

Ten and a half minutes.

Speaker B

Yeah, not bad.

Speaker A

Not bad.

Speaker A

Not bad at all.

Speaker B

So we got a tram.

Speaker B

The trams here are beautifully decorated and painted.

Speaker B

I love them.

Speaker B

At Castaway Key, they're just a beige color.

Speaker B

They're getting the job done.

Speaker B

But the ones here are so fun.

Speaker B

They're painted blue with flowers and things.

Speaker B

They are beautiful.

Speaker B

So we took the tram to Goombe, which is the only other TR stop.

Speaker B

There's no other tram stop.

Speaker B

It's just the two of them.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker A

There might be for Serenity Bay.

Speaker B

No, nope, there's two.

Speaker B

Because I looked.

Speaker A

All right.

Speaker B

Because I thought, well, maybe we would want to go on to Serenity Bay just to see it.

Speaker B

No, you get off at Goombe and then you walk Ceremon Bay like where we were.

Speaker B

You just keep walking, go to your left and just keep walking.

Speaker B

And it's at the very, very end there.

Speaker B

We did not opt to do that.

Speaker A

Nope, nope.

Speaker A

So.

Speaker B

But it is beautiful.

Speaker B

I mean, the buildings are beautiful.

Speaker B

The architecture there is amazing.

Speaker B

We really thought it was very, very well done.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

The wonderful.

Speaker A

I won't call them boardwalks, but yeah, they are board.

Speaker A

Board walks.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

Walking paths down to the beach.

Speaker B

Perfect.

Speaker B

Same kind of umbrella that they have at Castaway Key.

Speaker B

There did not seem to be as much seating as they have at Castaway Cay.

Speaker B

Like, there was a.

Speaker B

We found seats pretty easy, but we were off very early.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker A

And we didn't go very far down the beach either way.

Speaker B

Well, we didn't have to because we found seats right away.

Speaker B

There is seating that is further back where you would have to come down steps to get to the water.

Speaker B

So I think that's how they compensated.

Speaker B

But, I mean, nobody wants to sit way back there.

Speaker B

I wouldn't.

Speaker B

You know, it's hot and it's a pretty far walk.

Speaker B

Not pretty far, but it's a walk.

Speaker B

To get to the water.

Speaker B

We ventured out to the water and realized it was much colder than I thought it would be.

Speaker A

The water was.

Speaker A

I won't say chilly, but it was cool.

Speaker B

It's July and it was chilly, I thought so.

Speaker B

Several people had taken their little chairs and had put them at the edge of the water and let the waves just lap over their legs.

Speaker A

And so that's what we did.

Speaker B

It was lovely.

Speaker B

We still are not beach people, but we truly enjoyed that.

Speaker B

We sat there a lot longer than we.

Speaker A

We did.

Speaker B

Than I thought we would.

Speaker A

We got to enjoy the pink sand.

Speaker B

There is misnomer.

Speaker B

The whole beach is not pink.

Speaker B

But there are definite flecks of pink sand in with the softest sand I ever felt in my life.

Speaker B

The sand was just.

Speaker B

It was soft.

Speaker B

It was beautiful.

Speaker B

Pretty.

Speaker B

Pretty white sand.

Speaker A

It was very pretty.

Speaker A

Yeah, it was very pretty.

Speaker A

Like I said, very soft.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

So we just sat there and we enjoyed the water and nice little breeze and it wasn't too bad.

Speaker A

We enjoyed it longer than I thought we would.

Speaker B

Yeah, quite a while.

Speaker B

And then we decided we were done.

Speaker A

We were done.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker A

So it was getting close to lunchtime.

Speaker A

It's getting.

Speaker A

It was getting even a little warmer.

Speaker B

Yeah, it was definitely getting warmer and more humid.

Speaker B

So we decided to dry off a little bit.

Speaker B

We found they have showers there that you can rinse off just your feet or you can rinse off everything.

Speaker A

Right?

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

Or you head back to the tram.

Speaker B

So that's a definite bonus.

Speaker A

The family that saw us leaving, we're happy to get our chairs.

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker B

Cuz there was a lot of people coming.

Speaker A

Yeah, there was.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

Lots of people were still coming off the ship by the time we were heading back.

Speaker B

So I would say we started heading back.

Speaker B

Maybe it's 11 or a little after 11 around there.

Speaker B

And there was a lot of people coming in and I was looking.

Speaker B

There was not a lot of seats where the beach was, right?

Speaker B

They were, baby.

Speaker A

The trams coming were all full.

Speaker B

They were totally full.

Speaker B

But we didn't walk too far to the left or too far to the right.

Speaker B

So maybe if they walked further down there were seats and things available.

Speaker A

So.

Speaker A

Yeah, so.

Speaker B

But yeah, so we took the tram back and another point, that tram ride is long.

Speaker A

It is a long tram ride.

Speaker B

You can walk to Goomba.

Speaker A

People walking.

Speaker A

I'm like, what's wrong with you?

Speaker B

You, you are able to walk, but it is not like walking to the family beach at Castaway Cay at all.

Speaker A

No.

Speaker B

I would really very much like to know how long it is because we were on that tram a while Yeah, I mean it's a.

Speaker B

And it's a zippy little tram.

Speaker B

It isn't, you know, putting along here.

Speaker B

So I could not believe that there were.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

Unless you are super physically fit and you just enjoy a really long walk, get on the tram.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker A

Well, eventually at some point they want to do 5Ks in the island here, like to do a castaway key, so.

Speaker B

Oh, I would think they would have zero problem doing that.

Speaker A

But yeah, there's plenty of space for that for sure.

Speaker B

Then we decided to time it how long it would take two tired old people to walk back to the ship.

Speaker A

That took like a minute and a half longer, whereas the tab took us about 12 minutes.

Speaker A

Yeah, I mean that's not a horrible walk.

Speaker B

I don't think so.

Speaker A

I mean, don't say should, but we're probably getting in 10 minute walk a day or something like that.

Speaker B

Yeah, yeah, for sure.

Speaker A

I know from high up the walkway does look very far.

Speaker A

Very far.

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker A

We were having breakfast on was a Deck 3, 1923.

Speaker A

I was like, oh, that doesn't look bad at all.

Speaker B

No.

Speaker A

So I know it wasn't bad.

Speaker B

It was not bad at all.

Speaker B

Some people say wear good walking shoes.

Speaker B

Not Dawn.

Speaker A

No.

Speaker B

Wore her flip flops and she was just fine.

Speaker B

So if you don't typically have any issues with your feet pain or anything like that.

Speaker A

I wore my good walking shoes because you do have.

Speaker B

Well, you do have issues with your feet.

Speaker B

I don't.

Speaker A

I got things going on.

Speaker B

So I was perfectly fine in my dollar store or $1 Old Navy eons ago.

Speaker B

Flip flops, right?

Speaker B

Yeah, that was fine.

Speaker A

Yep.

Speaker B

So then we came back.

Speaker A

We came back and the pier was still full of people heading towards that coming off the island.

Speaker A

I was like, man, yes.

Speaker B

It was like 11:30ish.

Speaker B

So we came back, took some showers, rinsed out our suits to get as much sand off of them as possible because we were very sandy because the water, I think the tide was coming in, it was so it wasn't just around our ankles by the time we left it was like up to our thighs or.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

You know, hitting the back.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

Dunking in the water which was still lovely.

Speaker B

And if we wanted to move back, we probably could have.

Speaker A

Oh, we could have.

Speaker A

But hey.

Speaker B

But yeah, but it was a lot of fun.

Speaker B

There was a little boy we were watching.

Speaker B

He was cute.

Speaker B

He was afraid of the fish.

Speaker A

Oh yeah.

Speaker B

He was so cute.

Speaker B

And the lady's like, oh, I don't know.

Speaker B

I said, yeah, stuff bites you in the ocean.

Speaker B

So that's why?

Speaker B

We're way back here and then there's.

Speaker A

A lifeguard on a jet ski out, you know.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

Out from the water.

Speaker A

Just so people know they're.

Speaker A

They are watching you from the land and the sea.

Speaker B

Yes, for sure.

Speaker B

They.

Speaker B

I. I love Disney.

Speaker B

They, they do their best to keep everybody safe.

Speaker A

They do.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

Well, I think we'll stop here for now.

Speaker A

Yep.

Speaker A

We'll pick it up later.

Speaker A

But we wanted to get.

Speaker A

Make sure we got the lighthouse key in there.

Speaker B

Yeah, it was, it was very nice.

Speaker B

I wanted a shirt, but they did not have it in my size, so I did not get a shirt.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

I'm sorry.

Speaker B

So that's all right.

Speaker B

It's all good.

Speaker B

I probably could have asked, but by that point in time, I was like, hot.

Speaker B

I just wanted to.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

Hot and hungry.

Speaker B

And that doesn't work well for me.

Speaker B

We did not have lunch on the island, but you can have lunch on the island.

Speaker B

There's three separate spots.

Speaker A

Yep.

Speaker B

Was it true?

Speaker B

Tru.

Speaker A

Tru.

Speaker A

True.

Speaker B

And the Serenity Bay.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

But you have to be 18 or older to go to Serenity Bay to sit at Serenity Bay or have lunch there.

Speaker B

So you can't just take your children, have a quick lunch there.

Speaker B

You have to.

Speaker B

Everybody has to be 18 or older there.

Speaker A

Came back, went to Marceline because we know tomorrow our CB Marceline is going to be popping with the seal.

Speaker B

Well, not only that, but 1923 has my favorite lunch item.

Speaker A

That's true.

Speaker A

That's true.

Speaker B

So I look, I looked ahead at the menu.

Speaker B

I'm excited.

Speaker A

Yep.

Speaker A

They were closed today on.

Speaker A

Yeah, they went SK Day 1923 for lunch.

Speaker B

Yeah, I can see that.

Speaker B

Because there probably most of the crew is off the island serving as we passed them walking.

Speaker B

I'm telling you, I don't know that there are many other professions where everybody within the company works as hard as cruise ship workers do.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker B

It doesn't matter if you're a server, a stateroom host, you're cleaning up in the fast food area, or lifeguards.

Speaker B

They never sit.

Speaker A

Oh, lifeguards, My goodness.

Speaker B

I'm telling you, every single person that we have encountered on this ship has been working hard.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

And that they do that so that we have a great vacation.

Speaker B

And we absolutely have so far.

Speaker A

Yep.

Speaker B

All right, second half of today and tomorrow, another day.

Speaker A

There we go.

Speaker A

All right, let's wrap it up.
