Speaker APor favor man.
Speaker ATengan se allijado de las puertas to our new passengers.
Speaker AAloha and welcome aboard.
Speaker AHey everybody, thanks for joining us.
Speaker AI'm Tim Scott joined by his lovely wife dawn here on resortloop.com the can't wait.
Speaker ATo the magic.
Speaker AContinuing our wish adventure.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker AOn the high seas.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AWe're going to start this show from.
Speaker BProbably our night's sleep.
Speaker AOur night's sleep.
Speaker BWell, we sort of knew that the crew door might be a problem and we were right.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BSo I, I don't think that the crew realizes how loud that door is because they're probably so used to it.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BAnd it really truly is right next to our cabin.
Speaker ARight next.
Speaker AI'm right outside the door.
Speaker ARight to the left.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BAnd I think the room service people use that as well.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BSo it was about maybe 1:15 in the morning or so when we finally drifted off to sleep.
Speaker BThere wasn't any banging noise waking us up.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BIt was then it started again about 4:30 in the morning.
Speaker AAnd it's always tough when it's random.
Speaker AIt's not at like set intervals.
Speaker BRight, right.
Speaker BIt's just random.
Speaker BSo we didn't sleep that great.
Speaker BBut you know, we're on vacation.
Speaker BWe didn't have to get up and go to work so we can function.
Speaker AThat's true.
Speaker AWe didn't have to get up super early.
Speaker ABut it did start again earlier the next morning.
Speaker ASo there was that.
Speaker BExactly.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BBut today is castaway key day.
Speaker AWoo.
Speaker BAnd if you've listened to us in the past, you know that the Scott family, we are not beach people.
Speaker ANot necessarily beach people.
Speaker BNo, we're not.
Speaker BBut we love to look at the beach.
Speaker BWe love to look at the ocean.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BI just don't like the sticky sunscreen and the sand then sticks to the sunscreen and the sweat.
Speaker BThe whole combo just is not appealing to me.
Speaker BBut the island of Castaway Cay is just beyond gorgeous.
Speaker AIt's gorgeous.
Speaker AIt's very well done.
Speaker AIf you're a beach person and you like a full day out in the sun.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AHighly recommend.
Speaker BYou would love it for sure.
Speaker BOur daughter in law would love it for sure.
Speaker BShe is a beach person.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BSo we started our morning with breakfast or we decided to go to the sit down breakfast at 1923.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BAnd that was very, very good.
Speaker BI had really good brioche French toast with like cinnamon.
Speaker BIt looked really butter.
Speaker BIt was delicious.
Speaker AI got the southern hash for the first time.
Speaker AI believe it was Called the Southern hash.
Speaker AFantastic.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AChorizo in it.
Speaker AThat was spicy.
Speaker ABut not too spicy.
Speaker AYeah, but not boring.
Speaker AIt was.
Speaker AIt was very good.
Speaker AI highly recommend.
Speaker BYeah, we had a really nice serving team.
Speaker BThey did an excellent job.
Speaker BOh, we did very good.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BAnd after that, then we just decided to hang out a little bit.
Speaker BThere was some trivia things going on which just going to say we may have won.
Speaker AWe may have won.
Speaker BWe may have won.
Speaker AAnd part of two.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BWell, the first one we won, we tied with three other groups.
Speaker BSo they're with a four way.
Speaker BSo they always do like a tiebreaker question.
Speaker BAnd the tiebreaker question was how many carvings are there in the tree of life?
Speaker AGreat.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker AAnd I honestly, I had no idea.
Speaker BI didn't either.
Speaker BWe'll drop the actual amount in the comments so that we don't spoil it for anybody.
Speaker AOh, there you go.
Speaker ASo you can guess at home.
Speaker BAll right.
Speaker BSo I guessed my favorite number just because it's my favorite number and you went with it.
Speaker BWe ended up winning.
Speaker AWe won.
Speaker BSo we were excited.
Speaker BThe fun couple that was next to us, they weren't very happy we won.
Speaker BNo, they were super fun to talk to.
Speaker AThey had a good time.
Speaker AThey did, yeah.
Speaker BAnd then we met up with them again.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AAt the next trivia we went to.
Speaker BYeah, I forgot which one that was.
Speaker AThat was.
Speaker BWas it Disney parks level one trivia or something?
Speaker AI think it's one we won the first time.
Speaker BOh, okay.
Speaker BThe second one might have been.
Speaker BWas it.
Speaker BOh, the animation one.
Speaker BThey actually.
Speaker BNo.
Speaker BThere was a single lady that was there that she knew her stuff.
Speaker BShe won.
Speaker BThere were only four groups total and they always have four little medals.
Speaker BSo they gave one to each group and it was one that we already had, I think.
Speaker BAnyways, we ended up swapping with the couple.
Speaker BThey're like, oh, if you give us one of your Donalds, we'll give us this one.
Speaker BAnd so we swapped and so that.
Speaker AWas sweet because I think they're working on the collection.
Speaker BThey are so glad to help out with that.
Speaker AVery happy to help.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo we swapped and they had theirs and they were excited.
Speaker BSo that was really fun.
Speaker BI think we napped because we needed a nap.
Speaker AWe did.
Speaker AAfter.
Speaker AAfter the.
Speaker AThe banging and slamming, we kind of needed a nap.
Speaker BSo we did.
Speaker ABut you know, it's a cruise.
Speaker AIf you want a nap nap.
Speaker AThere's no better place to nap than on a cruise ship most of the time.
Speaker BExactly.
Speaker BIt was a pretty early nap, I think because then we went to the pool.
Speaker AWe did go to the pool.
Speaker BWe really enjoy Disney pools.
Speaker AWe do.
Speaker BI do.
Speaker BHonestly, I think I like the pools.
Speaker BI like the hot tubs and stuff.
Speaker BOn the Dream and Fantasy.
Speaker AOh, yeah.
Speaker BTheir pool is okay.
Speaker BBut I'm always worried about stepping down and getting in and out of their pool because it's kind of a big step.
Speaker AOh.
Speaker BIn and out.
Speaker BThey don't really have like a ladder or.
Speaker BI don't.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BI can't remember exactly.
Speaker BBut the Wish class ships, it's just a nice little ladder up and down into the pool.
Speaker BAnd it is kind of an infinity pool.
Speaker BDoesn't quite go up to the edge of the ship because it has, like the over spillage there.
Speaker BBut it is nice.
Speaker BBut we really, truly love the tiled loungers and recliners.
Speaker AThat is relaxing.
Speaker BIt really is.
Speaker BBut the water was chillier than I would have liked it to be.
Speaker AWell, yeah, it was chilly.
Speaker ABut, you know, once I get used to it, I'm okay.
Speaker ABut.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AI'm not a fan of cold water necessarily anyway, as most people probably know.
Speaker BNo, I was.
Speaker BNot at all.
Speaker BBut like you said, once you get used to it, it was fine.
Speaker BBut it is just nice.
Speaker BAnd there wasn't anybody there because they were all out on Castaway Cay.
Speaker BAnd then we got in the little bench pool, which.
Speaker BYes, exactly what it sounds like.
Speaker BIt's a nice tiled bench.
Speaker BSix inches of water to stick your feet in.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker BAnd then the water trickles down the back of the bench.
Speaker AAlso very comfortable.
Speaker AIt was very enjoyable.
Speaker AYou don't get the view you get from that infinity pool in the back.
Speaker BNo, you don't.
Speaker BBut it's a very nice little place to sit.
Speaker AAnd it's not very thick pool either.
Speaker BNo, those pools aren't thick.
Speaker BYeah, they're little for the adults.
Speaker BAll of the pools on the Wish Class ships are tiny.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BBut there's a lot of.
Speaker BOf them.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BBut they're not all open at the same time.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker AWe need to check out the Chippendale pool, too.
Speaker AI really want to see that one.
Speaker AThat might be a good pool for us to take a look at.
Speaker BYeah, I think so.
Speaker APut that on the calendar.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BAnd then I did something that I've never done before.
Speaker BI did.
Speaker BI did it.
Speaker AWhat'd you do?
Speaker BI rode the Aquamouse.
Speaker AShe did.
Speaker AIt was.
Speaker BIt was really, really fun.
Speaker BIt really, truly was it.
Speaker BYou can ride as a single rider, which I did.
Speaker BOr you can go with two people.
Speaker BTo ride alone, you have to be 48 inches tall.
Speaker BTo ride it at all, you have to be 42 inches tall.
Speaker BAnd the dad and the daughter that were ahead of me in line, she was so excited.
Speaker BShe finally hit the height requirements that she could ride, and she'd been on it a couple times, and she told me it wasn't scary, that I would be okay.
Speaker BI told her it was my first time.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BAnd so I got.
Speaker BWhen you're a single rider, you sit in the back of the raft.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BI sat down.
Speaker BI thought, this is not going to go well for me to get out of the raft.
Speaker AYou were fine.
Speaker BI worried a little bit about that on the ride, but it was really, really fun.
Speaker BSo you kind of go up the little ramp, and then they show cute little cartoons.
Speaker BAnd then ahead of me, all I can see is this spray that's going to spray my face, my head, my everything.
Speaker BAnd I'm like, oh, I'm not usually a get my head wet kind of person.
Speaker BBut you know what?
Speaker BIt was okay.
Speaker AI had to embrace it.
Speaker BAt that point, I didn't have any other choice.
Speaker BWhat was I going to do?
Speaker BJump out of the raft.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BI don't want to get banned from the Disney Cruise Line.
Speaker BI love it.
Speaker BDid that and then kind of whips you around a little bit, and it was really fun.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd then when you come up, I was like, okay, I'm sort of stuck in the girls.
Speaker BLike, use the rails and push yourself.
Speaker BI was like, oh, okay.
Speaker BSo there's little rails there.
Speaker BYou kind of just push yourself along till it catches on the little conveyor belt again and get you up.
Speaker BAnd she's looking at me, and I'm like, I'm gonna give it a whirl and get out.
Speaker BBut I don't know.
Speaker BAnd she's like, swing your legs out.
Speaker BLike, both legs out.
Speaker BAnd then the back rests are very, very hard.
Speaker BThey're not, like, inflatable.
Speaker BThere's foam or something in them.
Speaker BAnd she's like, see if you can push yourself up from there.
Speaker BShe's like, if not, I'll help you out.
Speaker BI said, all right, then.
Speaker BBut I was able to push myself out.
Speaker BGet out.
Speaker BI did it.
Speaker APlease dismount the attraction.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker ASo I chose not to go on the ride because I just feel like it was a Disney news news cycle.
Speaker AI didn't want to be in Disney Podcaster.
Speaker ATrapped.
Speaker ALike, trapped like a clogged drain.
Speaker BHe would have been totally fine.
Speaker AA little tidy bull man trying to flush me out.
Speaker AThere'd be pictures all over the Internet.
Speaker BOh, goodness.
Speaker BHe Would have been totally fine.
Speaker BGetting out might have been a little challenge, but I think you would have.
Speaker AI don't think so.
Speaker AWell, we'll see.
Speaker BMaybe the next time.
Speaker BGet you.
Speaker AI'd rather do it in the dreamer.
Speaker AWonder where the twos are.
Speaker AAll clear.
Speaker AAll over the deck.
Speaker ASo everybody can see me struggling in there.
Speaker AMommy, what's going on with the man in the tube?
Speaker BOh, goodness gracious.
Speaker BBut anyway, this is the one you should have done, though, because the tubes are pretty much dark off.
Speaker AI know, but I'm gonna see.
Speaker AI had to go to the end where I could see is.
Speaker AThat would have been a good call.
Speaker AOh, it was like just sending people down, trying to lodge me loose.
Speaker BOh, mercy.
Speaker AAnyway.
Speaker ABut you had a good time.
Speaker BYes, we did.
Speaker BWe had a really good time.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BAnd then we got all cleaned up and.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker BWe decided to take another nap.
Speaker BAnd we completely skipped the show.
Speaker AWe did.
Speaker BIt was Little Mermaid.
Speaker BIt's about an hour long.
Speaker BAnd I think it probably was very, very good.
Speaker ABut sure, it was good.
Speaker BWe were so exhausted.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AFrom not sleeping.
Speaker AGreat.
Speaker ATo just be doing a lot of stuff.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BSo we did that.
Speaker BThen we got all cleaned up and time to head to dinner at Arendale.
Speaker BI realized that when I packed.
Speaker BI did not.
Speaker BI packed a white shirt to go with these blue cute pants that I have.
Speaker BIt was not the right white shirt.
Speaker BThe white shirt that I had is like a nice dressier little top.
Speaker BThe one I pulled out was just a plain old white T shirt.
Speaker AYou were fine.
Speaker BWell, I made it work because I didn't have much of a choice at that point because he went with one suitcase.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BSo I.
Speaker BThere was not room to pack extra just in case I might change my mind.
Speaker BOutfit.
Speaker AYou didn't want to show up Anna or Elsa because you're in their restaurant.
Speaker ASo that'd just be rude to not look better than they do.
Speaker AOh.
Speaker BAlthough our table mates.
Speaker BShe had on an Anna outfit.
Speaker BShe looked adorable.
Speaker BShe had the ears and the little dress.
Speaker BShe looks so cute.
Speaker AThey chatted with each other for a little bit there.
Speaker AAnna and her.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BThat was darling.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo dinner.
Speaker BMy dinner was not great.
Speaker BI. I'm a picky eater, so please do not go by me because I have a shellfish allergy.
Speaker BI do not eat any fish at all.
Speaker BBecause I'm always worried in a restaurant because I'm always worried about cross contamination.
Speaker BYou know, they're preparing shrimp next to cod or whatever.
Speaker BI just don't do it.
Speaker BSo I ordered the meatballs and the egg Noodles, and it's a Scandinavian dish and had lingonberry chutney on it.
Speaker BI tried that.
Speaker BThat was really actually quite good, but there wasn't much of it.
Speaker BBut the meatballs were just not my thing, so I did not eat that.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BSo that's okay.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI had the cod.
Speaker AThey called it crispy.
Speaker AMaybe it was panko.
Speaker AI don't know if these were panko in there or not, but, I mean, it was a nice piece of fish.
Speaker AIt was very good.
Speaker AThe appetizer had the shrimp and scallop in the pastry.
Speaker AYeah, the dome pastry on it.
Speaker APastry was good.
Speaker AIt had a good flavor.
Speaker AThe scallop was a little overcooked, a little rubbery.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker ABut I mean, it was still good.
Speaker AI still ate it.
Speaker ACobb was good.
Speaker ANothing to write home about, right?
Speaker BIt was okay.
Speaker ABut, I mean, it was.
Speaker AIt was.
Speaker AIt was done very well.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BThey're mass producing a lot of meals, you know, so.
Speaker BBut then we decided to do one of our favorite things that we do on a Disney cruise, and that's watch funnel vision.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BWell, I watched you nap.
Speaker AYeah, I napped for part of it.
Speaker AI hung in there as long as I could for a little bit.
Speaker BYou did a good job.
Speaker BIt was Monsters Incs.
Speaker BAnd honestly, I have not seen Monsters Inc. All the way through.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BProbably since it came out.
Speaker AIt's been a long time.
Speaker BIt's been a long time.
Speaker BSo a lot of things on there, I'm like.
Speaker BI had forgotten.
Speaker BSo it was almost like it was a.
Speaker BA new movie for me.
Speaker BIt was really, really good.
Speaker ASometimes you got to go back and watch those again, because I think a lot of parts, too forget.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BI had to go get me my pretzel that I had been dying for.
Speaker BI was like, oh, I have to have a pretzel.
Speaker BThe keg and compass pretzels are so delicious.
Speaker BAnd then it wasn't.
Speaker AAnd it wasn't.
Speaker AIt was weird.
Speaker BOh, it was awful.
Speaker AI think it was bigger than it was before, or you thought you.
Speaker BI know it was significantly bigger than it was, and so I know it's not.
Speaker BI don't think it's the same.
Speaker BIt didn't have this, like, a good flavor to it at all.
Speaker BSo I ate a few bites of that.
Speaker BYou ate a few bites?
Speaker BAnd we called it done.
Speaker BAnd.
Speaker BAnd then we got ice cream when Monsters, Inc. Was over, and then we came and we went to bed.
Speaker AThat was the day.
Speaker BThat was the day.
Speaker BIt was pretty late by then.
Speaker AIt was a late day.
Speaker BSo Anyway, do you want to keep going for this morning?
Speaker ALet's go.
Speaker ALet's go.
Speaker AAnother half day.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BSo sleeping last night was better?
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BNot too much door banging, but some.
Speaker BSome but not much.
Speaker BI honestly didn't hear it like after 12:15, 12:30.
Speaker BIsh.
Speaker BSo not bad.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ADidn't.
Speaker AI'm sure it was Steward say he asked people not to use it if they didn't.
Speaker BHe did, he did.
Speaker BBut he said there's kind of supposed to use it.
Speaker BSo they're not using the guest door.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ASo not blocking the elevators and that kind of thing.
Speaker ASo said I kind of get some.
Speaker BOf this stuff I don't get though, because they're like, oh, they don't want to interfere with the guest.
Speaker BBut then you see a lot of crew eating like at Marceline Market.
Speaker BOh, you know, so you're like, okay.
Speaker BWhich I don't have a problem with.
Speaker BHave to eat, eat.
Speaker BCome and eat the good food.
Speaker BIt's all good.
Speaker ALike I said, just put a softer clothes on it.
Speaker AEverything would be perfect.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BIt's all.
Speaker BAnd then honestly it was maybe 5:36 before I heard it again.
Speaker BSo I would.
Speaker BI'm always up and down during the night anyway.
Speaker BBut still slept pretty good.
Speaker ACool.
Speaker BGood time.
Speaker AExcellent.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BAnd we went to 1923 for breakfast.
Speaker BAgain.
Speaker ABreakfast again.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BSo it was good.
Speaker BI had scrambled eggs and a piece of toast this time.
Speaker BIt's good.
Speaker ABut again I opted for the O. Eggs Benedict.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AWhich is very good.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo it was a good breakfast.
Speaker BAnd then we decided because we were at Lookout Key at Lighthouse Point, we've never been here ever been.
Speaker BThat we decided we should go.
Speaker AWe have to go.
Speaker AWe have to check it out.
Speaker BWe did.
Speaker BSo we put on our swimsuits, our little bag, sunglasses.
Speaker BYep.
Speaker BAnd we headed out.
Speaker BNow this is part of the.
Speaker BI'm going to say it wrong, so you say it.
Speaker BIsland.
Speaker BWhat's the name of the island?
Speaker AEleuthra.
Speaker BEleuthera Island.
Speaker BThank you.
Speaker BIt shares space with other cruise lines.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BSo we could see there was a carnival ship docked out there.
Speaker BNow Carnival does not have a pier here.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker BThey tender, which means they take some of the light lifeboats and they shuttle people from the ship to the land to the island and then from the island back to the ship when they're done.
Speaker BDisney opted to build a piercing, but because of the coral reefs and things that are there that they're not legally permitted to destroy.
Speaker BThankfully that it's a preservation area, they have to dock pretty far out to be safe and not disturb anything.
Speaker BAnd then they built the pier.
Speaker BNow, I heard the piers about a half mile long.
Speaker BDo you hear that?
Speaker AI think maybe I did hear that.
Speaker AEveryone was showing pictures and it looks on the pictures it looks like it's 10 miles long.
Speaker AIt looks like Key West.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AOr the Keys is what it looked like.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BIt's the walk we left the ship.
Speaker BI think it was around 9ish the left or 9.
Speaker BSo there was a beautiful breeze blowing.
Speaker BWasn't too terribly hot.
Speaker BDefinitely humid.
Speaker BSo you set a timer just to see how long it would take us.
Speaker AAnd the length of the pier for us walking two old people.
Speaker ATen and a half minutes.
Speaker BYeah, not bad.
Speaker ANot bad.
Speaker ANot bad at all.
Speaker BSo we got a tram.
Speaker BThe trams here are beautifully decorated and painted.
Speaker BI love them.
Speaker BAt Castaway Key, they're just a beige color.
Speaker BThey're getting the job done.
Speaker BBut the ones here are so fun.
Speaker BThey're painted blue with flowers and things.
Speaker BThey are beautiful.
Speaker BSo we took the tram to Goombe, which is the only other TR stop.
Speaker BThere's no other tram stop.
Speaker BIt's just the two of them.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AThere might be for Serenity Bay.
Speaker BNo, nope, there's two.
Speaker BBecause I looked.
Speaker AAll right.
Speaker BBecause I thought, well, maybe we would want to go on to Serenity Bay just to see it.
Speaker BNo, you get off at Goombe and then you walk Ceremon Bay like where we were.
Speaker BYou just keep walking, go to your left and just keep walking.
Speaker BAnd it's at the very, very end there.
Speaker BWe did not opt to do that.
Speaker ANope, nope.
Speaker ASo.
Speaker BBut it is beautiful.
Speaker BI mean, the buildings are beautiful.
Speaker BThe architecture there is amazing.
Speaker BWe really thought it was very, very well done.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThe wonderful.
Speaker AI won't call them boardwalks, but yeah, they are board.
Speaker ABoard walks.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AWalking paths down to the beach.
Speaker BPerfect.
Speaker BSame kind of umbrella that they have at Castaway Key.
Speaker BThere did not seem to be as much seating as they have at Castaway Cay.
Speaker BLike, there was a.
Speaker BWe found seats pretty easy, but we were off very early.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AAnd we didn't go very far down the beach either way.
Speaker BWell, we didn't have to because we found seats right away.
Speaker BThere is seating that is further back where you would have to come down steps to get to the water.
Speaker BSo I think that's how they compensated.
Speaker BBut, I mean, nobody wants to sit way back there.
Speaker BI wouldn't.
Speaker BYou know, it's hot and it's a pretty far walk.
Speaker BNot pretty far, but it's a walk.
Speaker BTo get to the water.
Speaker BWe ventured out to the water and realized it was much colder than I thought it would be.
Speaker AThe water was.
Speaker AI won't say chilly, but it was cool.
Speaker BIt's July and it was chilly, I thought so.
Speaker BSeveral people had taken their little chairs and had put them at the edge of the water and let the waves just lap over their legs.
Speaker AAnd so that's what we did.
Speaker BIt was lovely.
Speaker BWe still are not beach people, but we truly enjoyed that.
Speaker BWe sat there a lot longer than we.
Speaker AWe did.
Speaker BThan I thought we would.
Speaker AWe got to enjoy the pink sand.
Speaker BThere is misnomer.
Speaker BThe whole beach is not pink.
Speaker BBut there are definite flecks of pink sand in with the softest sand I ever felt in my life.
Speaker BThe sand was just.
Speaker BIt was soft.
Speaker BIt was beautiful.
Speaker BPretty.
Speaker BPretty white sand.
Speaker AIt was very pretty.
Speaker AYeah, it was very pretty.
Speaker ALike I said, very soft.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo we just sat there and we enjoyed the water and nice little breeze and it wasn't too bad.
Speaker AWe enjoyed it longer than I thought we would.
Speaker BYeah, quite a while.
Speaker BAnd then we decided we were done.
Speaker AWe were done.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker ASo it was getting close to lunchtime.
Speaker AIt's getting.
Speaker AIt was getting even a little warmer.
Speaker BYeah, it was definitely getting warmer and more humid.
Speaker BSo we decided to dry off a little bit.
Speaker BWe found they have showers there that you can rinse off just your feet or you can rinse off everything.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BOr you head back to the tram.
Speaker BSo that's a definite bonus.
Speaker AThe family that saw us leaving, we're happy to get our chairs.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BCuz there was a lot of people coming.
Speaker AYeah, there was.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ALots of people were still coming off the ship by the time we were heading back.
Speaker BSo I would say we started heading back.
Speaker BMaybe it's 11 or a little after 11 around there.
Speaker BAnd there was a lot of people coming in and I was looking.
Speaker BThere was not a lot of seats where the beach was, right?
Speaker BThey were, baby.
Speaker AThe trams coming were all full.
Speaker BThey were totally full.
Speaker BBut we didn't walk too far to the left or too far to the right.
Speaker BSo maybe if they walked further down there were seats and things available.
Speaker ASo.
Speaker AYeah, so.
Speaker BBut yeah, so we took the tram back and another point, that tram ride is long.
Speaker AIt is a long tram ride.
Speaker BYou can walk to Goomba.
Speaker APeople walking.
Speaker AI'm like, what's wrong with you?
Speaker BYou, you are able to walk, but it is not like walking to the family beach at Castaway Cay at all.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker BI would really very much like to know how long it is because we were on that tram a while Yeah, I mean it's a.
Speaker BAnd it's a zippy little tram.
Speaker BIt isn't, you know, putting along here.
Speaker BSo I could not believe that there were.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BUnless you are super physically fit and you just enjoy a really long walk, get on the tram.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AWell, eventually at some point they want to do 5Ks in the island here, like to do a castaway key, so.
Speaker BOh, I would think they would have zero problem doing that.
Speaker ABut yeah, there's plenty of space for that for sure.
Speaker BThen we decided to time it how long it would take two tired old people to walk back to the ship.
Speaker AThat took like a minute and a half longer, whereas the tab took us about 12 minutes.
Speaker AYeah, I mean that's not a horrible walk.
Speaker BI don't think so.
Speaker AI mean, don't say should, but we're probably getting in 10 minute walk a day or something like that.
Speaker BYeah, yeah, for sure.
Speaker AI know from high up the walkway does look very far.
Speaker AVery far.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker AWe were having breakfast on was a Deck 3, 1923.
Speaker AI was like, oh, that doesn't look bad at all.
Speaker BNo.
Speaker ASo I know it wasn't bad.
Speaker BIt was not bad at all.
Speaker BSome people say wear good walking shoes.
Speaker BNot Dawn.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker BWore her flip flops and she was just fine.
Speaker BSo if you don't typically have any issues with your feet pain or anything like that.
Speaker AI wore my good walking shoes because you do have.
Speaker BWell, you do have issues with your feet.
Speaker BI don't.
Speaker AI got things going on.
Speaker BSo I was perfectly fine in my dollar store or $1 Old Navy eons ago.
Speaker BFlip flops, right?
Speaker BYeah, that was fine.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker BSo then we came back.
Speaker AWe came back and the pier was still full of people heading towards that coming off the island.
Speaker AI was like, man, yes.
Speaker BIt was like 11:30ish.
Speaker BSo we came back, took some showers, rinsed out our suits to get as much sand off of them as possible because we were very sandy because the water, I think the tide was coming in, it was so it wasn't just around our ankles by the time we left it was like up to our thighs or.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BYou know, hitting the back.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BDunking in the water which was still lovely.
Speaker BAnd if we wanted to move back, we probably could have.
Speaker AOh, we could have.
Speaker ABut hey.
Speaker BBut yeah, but it was a lot of fun.
Speaker BThere was a little boy we were watching.
Speaker BHe was cute.
Speaker BHe was afraid of the fish.
Speaker AOh yeah.
Speaker BHe was so cute.
Speaker BAnd the lady's like, oh, I don't know.
Speaker BI said, yeah, stuff bites you in the ocean.
Speaker BSo that's why?
Speaker BWe're way back here and then there's.
Speaker AA lifeguard on a jet ski out, you know.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AOut from the water.
Speaker AJust so people know they're.
Speaker AThey are watching you from the land and the sea.
Speaker BYes, for sure.
Speaker BThey.
Speaker BI. I love Disney.
Speaker BThey, they do their best to keep everybody safe.
Speaker AThey do.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BWell, I think we'll stop here for now.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker AWe'll pick it up later.
Speaker ABut we wanted to get.
Speaker AMake sure we got the lighthouse key in there.
Speaker BYeah, it was, it was very nice.
Speaker BI wanted a shirt, but they did not have it in my size, so I did not get a shirt.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BI'm sorry.
Speaker BSo that's all right.
Speaker BIt's all good.
Speaker BI probably could have asked, but by that point in time, I was like, hot.
Speaker BI just wanted to.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BHot and hungry.
Speaker BAnd that doesn't work well for me.
Speaker BWe did not have lunch on the island, but you can have lunch on the island.
Speaker BThere's three separate spots.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker BWas it true?
Speaker BTru.
Speaker ATru.
Speaker ATrue.
Speaker BAnd the Serenity Bay.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BBut you have to be 18 or older to go to Serenity Bay to sit at Serenity Bay or have lunch there.
Speaker BSo you can't just take your children, have a quick lunch there.
Speaker BYou have to.
Speaker BEverybody has to be 18 or older there.
Speaker ACame back, went to Marceline because we know tomorrow our CB Marceline is going to be popping with the seal.
Speaker BWell, not only that, but 1923 has my favorite lunch item.
Speaker AThat's true.
Speaker AThat's true.
Speaker BSo I look, I looked ahead at the menu.
Speaker BI'm excited.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker AThey were closed today on.
Speaker AYeah, they went SK Day 1923 for lunch.
Speaker BYeah, I can see that.
Speaker BBecause there probably most of the crew is off the island serving as we passed them walking.
Speaker BI'm telling you, I don't know that there are many other professions where everybody within the company works as hard as cruise ship workers do.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BIt doesn't matter if you're a server, a stateroom host, you're cleaning up in the fast food area, or lifeguards.
Speaker BThey never sit.
Speaker AOh, lifeguards, My goodness.
Speaker BI'm telling you, every single person that we have encountered on this ship has been working hard.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BAnd that they do that so that we have a great vacation.
Speaker BAnd we absolutely have so far.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker BAll right, second half of today and tomorrow, another day.
Speaker AThere we go.
