And we're also joined by our son Stephen, and our lovely daughter in law, Emily.

We're recording this right before D23.

Why is D23 not on at 7 o' clock when it's supposed to be on?

Because It'll be on 7pm Pacific Time, which I didn't allow for when I saw 7pm on the.

All the information.

So we had family over.

We made Epcot's famous cheddar cheese bacon beer cheese soup.

That was so good.

We're sharing the mic, by the way, and it was very good.

But now some people are probably going to go to bed and leave and I'll be probably watching D23 alone, probably because I'm not staying up because that's late for the Scott family.

But I'm going to do it because.

Why?

You're the ultimate Disney fan.

No, because I care.

But that's.

But that counts too, to be fair.

Who cares about the west coast, people?

It should be 7:00 Eastern Time.

Well, there is that, but it is in.

In the West Coast, a little part called Disneyland and that's where Disney is based.

Anyway, we're here for a little trip report.

Yeah, we just got back.

We went July 27th through August 3rd.

Long trip.

Our log, our longest one ever together.

And it was a lot of fun.

We're excited to talk about it.

I'm very excited because this trip was actually going to be.

I think it was four days.

Originally.

We were supposed to go at the end of May, but I'm a teacher and we got to our allotted snow days and we moved out of caution in case we had to make days up.

And we did have to make them up.

So it worked out for the best.

Right?

And then, I don't know if you remember, a code came out for a special discount that you were.

If you were able to switch your dates a little bit, you got two more days.

And it cost us a little bit less.

I think it was like $100 less or something for two additional days that included park tickets.

You're the man.

Because I didn't book a thing.

And I was told if I go for two more days, it's less money.

Not sure how that worked out, but I'm not mad about it.

But you're all in.

Emily, how are you feeling about a longer vacation for less money?

Heck yeah.

All right.

And that, my friends, is why you use a travel agent.

Boom.

Especially one that specializes in Disney travel.

That's right.

What they're doing, right?

So let's get started on your trip.

How did you get there?

We are big fans of Breeze Airways right now and living 12 minutes from Akron, Canton.

We love Breeze.

I think Spirit used to be there.

And then Spirit, obviously, rest in peace.

They're gone.

So they went to Cleveland for a while and then when Spirit shut down, alas, there are no more.

Yeah.

So we went Breeze.

And in typical Breeze fashion, I believe our flight was supposed to leave at 6 o' clock in the morning and we left at 5:45.

And breeze gets you out of there quick, so don't be late to the airport if you're ever flying Breeze.

That's a good tip.

Good tip.

That almost didn't almost happen to us, but we were like almost there and we're like, it was there.

They were doing their last boarding call.

They weren't.

It was like 35 minutes before we were supposed to leave, but people were there.

They're on.

They're like, everybody's here.

We might as well go.

So I think, you know, price wise, I think it was about $400 plus minus 15.

We didn't originally, we did not pick our seats.

So she, Emily sat on the window, I sat in the middle.

We were in a three person row.

We checked a bag and I think it was like $400.

I did spend $70 on the way back for a two seat aisle.

Again, I sat aisle and she sat by the window.

Because after six days and probably 200,000 steps at Disney, I did not want to be stuck in the middle again.

I, of course, was not going to do that to Emily.

Gotcha, gotcha.

Good call.

Good husband, Good move.

Try.

So when you got to the airport, how.

What was your plan to get to the parks?

I've never actually used the Uber app, but Emily gets us the Uber.

So I don't really know the process how to get an Uber, but Emily does all that for me.

Go ahead, Emily, tell us about getting the Uber.

How easy was it?

Easy?

Easy.

You log onto the app and it already had our terminal listed, so I didn't even have to figure out where the heck we were.

And Orlando Airport.

Yeah.

Didn't even have to figure out where we were.

And it said pick up at terminal B.

Okay, sounds good.

$40 Later.

How long did you have to wait?

Five minutes.

Wow.

And that was a big concern.

After we got our bags, I didn't.

Really know how to, you know, she asked what terminal we're in, and I'm like, I have no idea.

And then you want to call an Uber to the wrong terminal?

So obviously a lot of people Uber out of mco, so they had terminal B.

And again, took us five minutes.

I loved our first Uber driver because he didn't talk to us.

I loved it.

I didn't want to have to fake conversation a little bit at Disney World, so it was nice.

I enjoy a good silent ride as I get ready for the parks.

Can you request, like, no talking in the app?

I don't know.

It seems to ring a bell, but we don't really Uber or Lyft unless we're actually in the parks.

I know you can request, like, an all female, like, driver something.

You can request a female driver.

And then, of course, you can request, like, I think I saw an electric vehicle option on the app.

And then you can request, like, the really fancy cars.

We didn't do that.

We didn't do the fancy car.

We just.

Whatever car gets me to Walt Disney.

Okay.

Can you get one of those cars that looks like lightning McQueen?

I did not see that in the app.

Oh, it's too bad.

Bummer.

Okay, so you took that to the resort.

What does.

What resort did you decide to stay.

At in all century?

Why are you a top person?

We love the Skyliner.

Skyliner.

And there are other resorts on the Skyliner, but we are big pop Sentry people.

I think we've stayed at Pop Century the last three times we've went, so it's more of a comfort thing.

I can't speak for her.

I know we both love Hollywood studios.

My second favorite park is Epcot, so skyliners on both makes life a lot easier.

You can't.

You can't go wrong with any resort on the Skyliner.

Not at all.

What kind of room did you have when you were there?

I did the standard room.

I don't really think there's a need.

For a preferred room.

I disagree with you, but that's okay.

Pop Sentry.

There's.

Do we disagree?

Totally disagree.

But that being said, I don't want a preferred room that has a pool view ever again.

No, it was it was.

No, it wasn't terribly noisy, but it was noisier for this girl who needs it super quiet to sleep.

Yes.

We didn't actually have the pool view room, but we were like.

Must have been just on the cusp of the actual.

You would have loved our room.

Now, it was the farthest room from anything possible.

So we wouldn't have loved your room is what I'm saying.

Would not have loved it.

My feet.

That's why we love the preferred room.

Right next to the Skyliner.

We were.

We were in the 50s section, and I think we were building two.

Is that right?

Whatever the farthest one was.

I think it was building two.

It's the one there.

I think it's the.

What's the thing in the jukebox call where you flip everything?

It has the big statue of that with all the bands on it.

We were in the building that was next to him, and we were on the fourth floor at the farthest possible point.

But it was great.

It was very quiet.

Nice.

And at Pop Century, the.

I mean, there was an option to, like, book, like the, like views and whatnot.

It's an outdoor resort.

I'm not sure why you would need a view at Pop Century.

Right.

But to each their own.

You know, for us, we.

We were park till we drop and drop we did.

But for pop sentry, you're.

We're sleeping there and that's about it.

Okay, so it was perfect for us.

So you.

You'd say a pop again is what I'm hearing.

We love Pop Century.

Now, if you had to do a different resort and say papa's Book, but you're still going to go, where would you want to stay?

Where do you think you'd want to go?

So are you talking dream resort or like financially responsible resort?

Give me both.

Those are two different things.

I think financially responsible, I would.

I would probably go to one of the Skyliner resorts just to stay on it.

Financially irresponsible.

I'm going to the Beach Club.

Emily heard me talk about that a lot.

She did not like it.

Oh, well, you can't go wrong with the Beach Club.

I will say if you.

Especially if you want to use their pool.

Pool's fantastic.

And you're still close to the Skyliner.

Convince her I'm all in.

I would stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Oh, that's a good call, too.

That's an animal safari view room.

That's where I would be.

I can't argue that one.

That's a good option.

Do you concur?

Absolutely.

Animal Kingdom's my favorite.

It's my favorite Splurge Wilderness Lodge though.

Every time we go and visit there, I do like the vibes.

Okay.

Yeah.

Nice.

I like the boat access to Magic Kingdom from Wilderness Lodge.

Every year on our last day, we just resort hop and just check out other resorts.

We always take the boat from Magic Kingdom to Wilderness.

All right, so you're there.

You've checked into the room?

Sort of.

We checked in on the app, but our room wasn't ready yet.

Okay.

And so you gave me the great tip.

Just drop your bags off at baggage.

They'll take care of it.

Yes.

So we went to baggage checked our bags.

No issues.

They said they would take our bags to our room when it became open.

I'm sure they would have.

We dropped it off, went to Magic Kingdom and by about one o' clock I was not going to make it.

And we had the extra evening hours.

And I knew if I didn't go to sleep, we were not going to be going to the Magic Kingdom.

Extra evening hours.

I was dying.

We got up at 3 o' clock in the morning to hit the flight.

And Emily also agreed she needed a nap as well.

Nothing wrong.

You guys did get up really early.

Oh, we did.

That's early fight.

We went there to see if they still had our bags.

I'm sure they would have moved them had we been in the parks all day.

But it was no big deal.

They found them really quick.

We went to the room and and had a wonderful three and a half hour nap.

Nice.

Nice.

So you took your nap.

Tell me about the extra hours event.

So I don't really read things when I buy them.

It drives Emily insane.

Emily just rolled her eyes.

If you could hear that at home.

I thought we were just buying the three extra hours in the park with less wait time, which I was perfectly happy with.

So we get in there to the parks and a bunch of the cast members like, yeah, make sure you go get your wristband.

So if you can write deal on the rides, no problem.

I was unaware that they were giving out that including the ticket, you could get water pop, I believe, popcorn and ice cream sandwiches.

We were able to hydrate responsibly.

Nice.

In the evening.

And then I did kill a couple Mickey bars as well.

A wonderful surprise.

It was like extra magic as you.

Would have to do for extra magic hours.

Extra magic was right in the name.

It's there.

I can't tell if she's laughing at me or with me right now.

I'm pretty sure it's at Emily.

Were you all hydrated as well and correctly.

Mickey Bard.

A couple bites of Mickey Bars, but a lot of coke and a lot of Sprite.

Down.

Yes.

So did you stay for the duration of that event then?

We did.

So we probably got back to the magic kingdom around 6:30, 7:00, if I had to guess.

And then we were there till it closed at 1 o'.

Clock.

We hit every ride we wanted to.

We only do one Magic Kingdom day and we hit everything except Tiana's.

I haven't been on Tiana since.

It was Splash Mountain and we wanted to hit it.

We ended up watching some of the parade, walked across the street and it was closed and it did not go back up.

So that was upsetting.

We'll have to go back and take care of that.

We did get to ride the big Thunder Mountain on the new track.

Much better.

Okay.

It was a great reefer.

Not as jolty anymore.

And then we did the new Buzz Lightyear.

Oh, tell us about that.

It was different.

They.

I think they changed what some of the targets are worth because I was hitting the old targets and not getting as much points.

Yep, yep, yep.

They redid the whole scoring system.

I should have done my research.

I still won.

I still beat Emily.

That's important to know.

Wow.

There's another eye roll from Emily, by the way.

Keep me smarter.

Hard to do.

I'm terrible at that ride.

Awful.

We did that.

I did.

Like how you could, you know, move the gun around now instead of it being stuck.

And then unfortunately, my all time favorite ride was closed for refurbishment.

I'm still upset about the carousel progress under refurb.

I'm confident they're gonna get it right.

I'm hoping D23 tonight gives us some answers.

Right.

It's a national treasure and I'm worried about it, so.

Noted.

And we also found out I'm too fat to ride on Tron.

Oh, we found that out too.

Oh, I can't even go there, baby.

We get.

Listen, with all the spring rolls that we ate, I was told these cheeseburger spring rolls were magical and they were.

Right.

Yeah, I put a couple down.

That must have been the.

That that put me over.

Well, you also mentioned ice cream bars and.

Yeah, well, you know.

So what are you gonna do?

Yeah, you know, we waited in the evening hours.

We still waited like what, 45 minutes probably.

Least.

At least.

And this is.

This is not my opinion.

Because I was too fat for the bike.

It's not my opinion, but I don't think it's worth anything more than a 45 minute wait.

The ride is 70 seconds long.

That's true.

Yeah.

I, I thought it'd be longer.

I like, I know the big part of the ride is where you're outside under the dome.

Can you want to call it?

I thought there'd be more inside.

Yeah.

There was not.

I don't skip leg day, which is why I didn't fit.

Just FYI.

It was a.

It was a leg thing for you.

It was definitely a leg thing.

Okay.

Cuz I was worried about Flight of Passages as well, but because you're just sitting, it was perfectly fine.

Cuz I, I went and I.

They say pull the bar back and it took all of one bar where I was like, yeah, it's not going to happen.

I just, you know, I have, I have very big calves and so I was just.

I was screwed off the rip.

The one guy's like, we got the accessibility with the back.

That's fine.

It doesn't bother me.

Santa sle.

Yeah.

Oh, I. I heard.

We know you know the Santa slay well.

So, I mean, I went back there and Emily, I, I said, hey, just stay here on the bike.

She goes, no.

And she said it hurt her hips.

Yeah.

I don't think it would have been a good time, but.

So we were.

It was, it was fun, but I really think it's like a one and done for me.

I don't really think it's worth it.

Again.

You think if I get in the back of that again, I'm going to yell mush right before it takes off?

Why do you give me the good idea?

I'm not going with you anymore.

I cannot even with you.

Oh, brother.

Just find a new Disney person.

So if anybody does that, make sure if you're in the back there, just yell mush before it goes.

Let's make that a thing.

If it's Christmas, you could probably do the on Dancer, on Dasher, on Prancer and Vixen.

Don't encourage him, Mom.

It's pretty funny.

I know funny.

And that was funny.

You think I was planning that ahead of time?

And yet I did.

I will say you had a.

We had a wardrobe malfunction on day one.

What'd you do?

Emily had great outfits picked out and she looked great.

Huh.

But she did not calculate the proper shoes for Walt Disney World.

Oh.

Oh.

She had the A N. Everything matched.

Pictures are great.

Emily you can correct them at any point.

You have a microphone.

But I saw the blister she had.

I'm right.

I mean, who knew $9 Walmart shoes would just not be it?

But they worked.

They did work.

The outfit, it was a matching blue with the skirt she had on from Magic Kingdom.

It worked great.

And for the first time.

And I think I've been to Walt Disney World, it's got to be 30 plus times now.

I think I finally had to figure out where the first aid stations were.

I'm almost only naturally that it was with me.

I will say I was.

I was kind of nervous about going to first aid because, you know, I didn't know if they were going to like make us sit there and, you know, actually see somebody.

All she needed was just really big band aids.

I went to the pop century, like, little store they have there.

I bought some bandage.

They just weren't big enough.

Right.

For like the heel.

And so we walked up and of course they're very nice.

And you know, Emily says, I have these really bad blisters.

And the guy goes, oh, here's two different style bandages.

Here you go.

And we just did that the rest of the trip.

And I don't think there was any issues after that.

Was there on your end?

No.

Yeah.

I mean, so that was great.

I'm sure they probably liked getting us in and out too.

Just bandages and get out.

Okay, so, Emily, you can hop in on this one.

So you've been to Disney?

Both, dude.

We'll just say roughly 30 times.

Somewhere around there?

I think so.

Yeah.

I wouldn't be surprised.

How did you get lost a couple times in the park and didn't know where things were?

It was so bad.

Listen, I went with the wrong Scott.

It was so bad, Dad.

I thought the Haunted Mansion was near Tomorrowland.

I'm not sure how I messed that up.

Was this before you were properly hydrated?

Because maybe there was an issue.

I don't know.

I couldn't even find part of Haunted Mansion.

Screams Tomorrowland.

Well, he couldn't find cosmic rays.

He couldn't find cosmic rays.

How do you not find cosmic rays?

Listen, Epcot Hollywood Studios.

I'm great.

I'm okay.

Questionable.

Better than Magic Kingdom.

I couldn't find cosmic rays.

I was like, let's get cosmic rays for lunch.

I walked into whatever pavilion is next to the Monsters Inc.

Laugh floor as you're going back toward the castle.

I walked in, said, this isn't cosmic rays.

And then we ended up at Casey's Corner.

Cuz I couldn't find cosmic rays.

And people wonder why my feet hurt.

Right?

Yeah.

I did not help.

I just helped the team.

Did not help the team.

No, we didn't get there yet.

But you also couldn't find Norway.

But that's another story for a little.

Probably a little down the road a little bit.

Miss it.

I just didn't know which way I was going.

I ran into it by accident.

How long did it take to get back to your room from the event?

I believe we hit a bus instantly.

We had to stand on the bus, which was fine.

I'd say probably 20 minutes if that.

They had.

They had buses moving okay.

Which was nice.

Cuz you went there like not long after they started the whole bus crackdown thing on no people.

Yeah, we didn't have any issues with that.

We.

We didn't go to Disney Springs either.

Probably didn't see any of it.

20 Minutes, that's not bad.

Last thing you want is like an hour trip back after.

Oh, I know all those steps.

But I'm sure Disney knows that they want people out of the parks anyway.

I'm sure they had extra buses rolling cuz.

Oh, there were a lot of buses that we saw pulling in at the same time.

Okay.

All right, so you go back.

What was your plan for your next day?

What'd you do?

We were Hollywood studios.

That's our favorite one.

I was able to get a lightning lane for Slinky Dog, which is very hard to get.

I found out I booked my lightning lane seven days out and the earliest time I could get was like four o'.

Clock.

Wow.

So I mean, they, they are moving.

And of course Emily puts me on the Tower of Terror again.

I don't hate the ride.

I don't dislike it.

I love it.

Until it starts dropping me and then it freaks me out.

I just agree.

My butt leaves the seat and I just.

It freaks me out.

And of course, Emily's holding on to me as if I'm going to save her and I'm trying to save myself out here.

It's just a downhill spiral.

No, that's not a spiral.

You're just going down.

But still, that's a different ride altogether.

You're in a free fall.

And he's not going to be able to help you with that one at all.

Probably not.

All right, what else do you do at Hollywood Studios?

Was that our primetime day?

Yes, it was.

We were at 50s primetime and cousin Michael was on me like a fly on poop.

I kept putting my elbows on the table, and he was not having it.

I mean, he wasn't even in the.

I swear, he wasn't even, like, in the.

Where our table was.

And I heard him.

Elbows on the table.

Geez, I'm getting yelled at.

He was on it.

Left Emily alone the whole time, of.

Course, because she's perfect.

Yeah, I know.

She is.

He knew it.

We did get the cornbread there.

That is probably our favorite cornbread on Earth.

Okay.

And then I got the meatloaf, which I love there.

And I.

For what did you have the roast beef?

The pot roast.

The pot roast.

Okay.

It was all very, very good.

Nice.

What's your favorite there?

The meatloaf.

100%.

Except for the green beans.

I don't like the green beans.

I have two stickers in my wallet because Emily and I were part of the clean plate club.

Yeah, I was not.

Okay, so you had dinner.

How'd you fill out the rest of your day at the studios?

We did hit the Rock and Roller Coaster with the Muppets.

Now.

I don't hate it.

I do Miss Aerosmith.

Okay.

I think my feelings on the Rock and Roller Coaster will depend on how good Monsters, Inc. Land is.

I think if they mess that up and they're really upset, the Muppets are gone and Aerosmith's gone.

Okay.

If they get it right, I think I'll be okay with Aerosmith going, all right.

I think that's what it's going to come down to.

I think they did what they do on Guardians.

Are there different songs on Rock and Roller Coaster now?

Yes.

Okay.

Because someone was talking, and I don't know how anyone hears the song because I'm worried, You know, we're spinning through the dark.

So I didn't really even hear the songs, but someone was saying, oh, I wish we would have got this song.

And, oh, yeah, Even hear the music on that one.

Maybe Emily heard it better.

I didn't.

No, I'm too busy worried about my neck breaking on the ride.

Oh, there you go.

It's part of the thrill.

It's true.

And then, of course, we hit Toy Story Mania.

Emily, how'd you do in Toy Story Mania?

Did you beat me?

No, I just like to point that out.

Wow.

What a rude move.

Well, we raised them better in that.

I don't know what to tell you, Emily.

You signed up for it.

I did.

All right.

She did it on purpose, too.

The only gripe I have right now with Disney, and I don't know how you fix it.

The Line cutting.

Oh, egregious.

I don't know anyone on earth that has a problem with like, a mom or a dad and a little kid cut in front of you to go back to where they're at.

That doesn't bother me.

But there were groups of like five, six, seven people.

Huh?

Saying like, oh, my party's up there.

And then if, you know, you let them through.

Because, I mean, I'm not trying to get an altercation at Disney.

Right.

This is.

We're recording this around the time where that Flight of Passage video came out where there's like, oh, yeah.

Where there's that.

So I'm not trying to get in a physical altercation.

Right.

Disney, of course.

So you just let him through.

But Emily and I had talked about it.

Like, maybe we should just say that and get to the front.

Like, who's going to say anything to us?

My luck.

Someone would say something.

I'd be like, I don't know.

Right.

But that.

I don't know how you fix it.

I don't know if there's a way to fix it because I'm sure you're not going to post cast members up throughout ride cues.

I'm sure.

But I feel like something's got to get done because it was.

It was bad at a couple of the parks.

It wasn't really bad Monday through Wednesday or Thursday.

Over the weekend, though, it was.

It was pretty bad because we were there Monday to Monday.

I will say, one, Disney really needs to probably keep an eye on that.

They need to come up with some kind of system.

Maybe an extra cast member in there, try to keep things in order.

Two, I'm impressed you use the word egregious.

I am a language arts.

I'm.

I'm an English teacher, dude.

Yeah, but use it in a sentence.

I'm impressed.

My wife's smarter than me, but dang, man, no.

We're still 2 hours and 18 minutes out.

So what were your high points at the studios?

I like Minnie and Mickey's Runaway.

That's a good call if that's what it's called.

I think that's grown on me.

I was very upset when the Great Movie Ride went down.

Right.

I think Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway does a great job.

I still miss the Great Movie Ride.

It's a classic.

I feel like with all the refurbishments, they maybe could have just updated the movies to some more current ones.

But I do like Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Wear away.

We did do Lightning Lane for that one.

Say the crowds weren't too bad for most of your time.

No, we went again.

We went July 27th through August 3rd.

So Monday through Thursday.

I mean, I think even at the Magic Kingdom, minus Tron the ride, if the most I saw a ride was like 40 minutes, which for Magic Kingdom, you'll take that any day of the week.

And then Friday, Saturday, like we were at Epcot on if it was Epcot or S or Sunday.

Epcot was busy on Sunday.

It was busy Saturday.

Saturday.

Hi.

The dick's messed up.

It was busy.

We went through World Showcase.

We were some friends there.

We'll talk about that.

But it was busy.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a lot of adults drinking around the world.

I think the other side of the park probably wasn't as bad, but the World Showcase side was.

It was popping.

Right.

Right now, did you have any snacks or anything besides your prime time lunch there?

I had a cannoli.

Where'd you get the cannoli?

I can't remember.

I'm the worst.

There is the place.

That's the Rosie Quick service place.

What's it called?

Rosie the Riveter or something or other.

And it's like the Italian.

Okay.

Quick service right next to it.

Bomb.

Nice.

Yes.

I just can't remember what it was called.

Say we really.

I, I.

The only thing I was really buying was a lot of red Powerades.

I was, I was drinking a lot.

It was hot.

I mean, I think our average temp was like 92 to 94.

Was hot outside.

That's when we had those frozen Minute Maid drinks too.

Oh, yes.

We got like on the boat.

The boat in the middle.

Emily got a regular frozen lemonade.

And then I got a, a blue raspberry one.

Frozen lemonade.

Those were really good.

Okay.

The one thing we noticed this time is our previous two trips were like weekend trips.

So you feel the need to get everything in right when you're there.

For six days we were happily sitting down.

Yeah.

You know, drinking some lemonade.

Not really in a rush.

That was very nice this time around.

Speaking of Hollywood studios, the ABC commissary.

Really good quick service when we were there with you guys back in 21.

So 2021, they didn't let you in there unless you had a mobile app reservation.

Oh.

Post Covid stuff.

They changed that.

And it.

It kind of sucked because we went in there to get food and you could not find a seat anywhere because it started raining.

Everyone from the outside just came in and there were people that had no intention of getting food.

They were just there.

Right.

And so that.

That kind of sucked.

Yeah.

I'm sure if it wouldn't have been raining, it probably wouldn't have been an issue.

But that kind of sucked when you're.

When you have a tray of food you can't even find anywhere to sit down.

And with people that have no intention of eating.

Gotcha.

I kind of wish they would bring that back a little bit.

Okay.

But that's, you know, it's neither here nor there.

That's just Steve's hot take of the day.

Nothing wrong with that take.

And then the next day was our Animal Kingdom Day.

No.

Epcot Day.

Yes.

Sorry.

That's on me.

I get moving.

Next day was what?

We went to Epcot the next day.

Okay.

And we did Spaceship Earth.

Which Spaceship Earth broke down on us a couple times.

Oh, on the same ride.

Yeah.

Wow.

Now, I don't know if it was breakdowns or they paused it to help someone in a wheelchair or something.

Yeah.

I think that happens more often than people think.

That's what I'm probably guessing didn't bother us at all.

Especially it's 94 degrees.

I'll sit in the AC.

And we did do Soarin across America.

I believe we hit it six times.

Wow.

So now how.

How do you rate it compared to the.

Well, I don't know if I just compared to Soarin over California or Silver Soarin over the world.

Where would you rate it?

I put it in the middle.

In the middle.

Number two.

I would you.

Emily, you're.

Because you're a huge fan of the Soren.

Yeah, I do love Soarin.

Did you ever see Soaring Across California?

I did not.

So I can only compare it to the world.

But I don't know.

I. I really did like them equally, though, I think.

Yeah.

I think Soaring across the World had more smells.

Okay.

Yeah.

Unless I dismissed it.

I don't know.

No, the.

The most.

The smell I got the most of was there was a wetland scene.

And so that smell was Pretty strong.

Some of the other ones wasn't really as strong.

I would.

I would say Soarin across the world is better.

I saw.

I see what some people were upset about with the transitions between the different scenes in Soaring across the World.

Like, you know, an eagle will fly through, and then you're at the next one or like a cloud or something.

This one just fades it right out and you just go to the next one.

It didn't bother me at all.

I don't.

I don't care about that stuff.

But some people that I read about online were really upset about that.

Okay.

But I think that's.

It took us a couple times to realize what.

One of the scenes.

I thought it was Chicago.

Turns out it was.

Was it Los Angeles?

I think is what it was.

I think so.

I think it was Los Angeles at the end.

I thought it was Chicago, but I couldn't really figure it out.

It was at night, which didn't help.

Trying to figure it out.

But I really liked it.

I'm sure it'll be here probably the year.

Maybe a year and a half at least.

I'm sure.

Plus do.

Of course.

I thought it was really good.

Excellent.

The original Soren just had cuts between everything.

It was no transition at all.

It just was a hard, hard.

Yeah.

I wonder if what.

What they did with a soaring around the world.

I wonder if people just expect more now.

Maybe.

But it's weird because there were some cuts that kind of faded out and then there were some, like, good transitions.

So there's one with a helicopter and it flashes at you, then you're at the next one.

So I.

It's like they half did it, half didn't.

But again, it.

It didn't bother me.

I thought it was really good.

What else did you do at Epcot that day that might have been hit?

Remy, would you like.

Did you like Remy without the glasses?

I did.

I thought it was really, really good without the glasses.

And I never had the.

I think they changed for, like, motion sickness purposes.

I never had that originally.

I like.

I liked it without it.

Just so I keep my regular glasses on and not have to switch anything out.

But I thought it was really good with that.

Still crazy.

They can make you feel like you're moving when you're not.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway does the same thing.

Trips me out a little bit.

But it's really good.

I enjoy it very much.

Right.

And then we also fit Emily's favorite, Frozen, which.

Did you manage to find?

Norway.

Okay.

How'd that go.

I don't know where we started.

I think we started it.

I think we went from maybe living with the land to Norway.

So you have to get up there through, you know where France is and take a left.

And after walking for a while, I.

Think you took the long way.

Then we did.

Okay.

Hey, listen, listen.

I got us there.

Okay.

Did you walk by Mexico?

Not the first time.

Yeah.

Sorry.

Emily, she had bandages on her feet.

She was fine.

This is on her feet.

It wasn't that bad.

Just a flesh wound.

Really?

Yeah.

You know, we're.

We're walking there.

And Emily goes, how much longer is this?

And I'm like, I don't know, because I feel like I don't think we passed it.

She goes, please tell me we didn't pass it.

And so naturally, I don't want to miss it.

I asked the cast member said, is Norway this way?

He goes, yep, three more countries.

And Emily goes, oh, my gosh.

Like, three more.

We made it.

All right.

We lightning lane soar.

We lightning lane frozen.

Oh, good.

Well, it broke down on us.

Oh, it was.

It was kind of weird.

It got to the point where you go backwards down the hill and it just kind of stopped.

So you're kind of sitting there.

And my dream is to get evac'd off a Disney ride, see the behind the scenes stuff.

Okay.

So I'm getting excited.

I'm like, we're going to get evac.

This is going to be great.

And then the ride just moves.

The boat sends us down like the.

The Elsa animatronic is not working.

And they are no music.

The.

There's no music.

The boats are moving.

So.

Wow.

That was kind of weird.

It was just the Elsa animatronic room.

Everything else was still up and running.

Okay.

So it was kind of weird.

And we got to do test track with the narrator, this time with a narrator.

Well, back when we went the first time in 2021, we were with McKenzie and they were having issues with test track.

No, that was last year.

It was last year.

Last year.

Sorry.

And we're going.

There's no narrator.

It's just taking us through.

And it's kind of like, well, this is kind of weird.

And of course I remember test track 1.0.

So I'm getting mad.

I'm like, they took away 1.0 for this.

Like, even 2.0 was better than this, Right?

So we get through it.

It's like, all right, whatever.

So this time we get on and the narrator.

With the narrator, it's a 10 out of 10 experience.

Highly recommend.

Wow.

Excellent.

So we got to do that as well, which was really cool.

And then I think.

Is that everything we hit that day?

Oh, we always hit the Mexico boat ride.

That's just a classic.

That's good call.

That's a good call.

We got, remember.

We remember.

We got evac with.

Actually Nick was with us.

Yes.

From Toy Story Mania.

Yes.

That was fabulous.

Cuz we had done the entire ride, had gotten our scores, everything.

We were like maybe two or three vehicles from being able to get off at the regular spot.

But yeah, they evacuated us off and then they gave us a free lightning lane to use whenever, which was really nice.

They didn't have to do that.

They didn't.

It was a very weak evacuation cuz like I said, we were like just three cars from the end.

So we just had to walk off and break through the entrance.

We didn't have to circumnavigate anything fun.

No, we did not.

But that's okay.

You remember that, Nick?

I sure do.

That was an awesome day.

Then we got a lightning lane.

I forget where we went after that, though.

I remember.

We'll probably figure it out.

I want to say you guys used your lightning lane on Tower of Terror.

I love that ride.

I'm gonna say I'm pretty sure that's what you and your mom did.

I don't know if Bruno went or not.

My sister's usually scared to death of that.

I was gonna say I don't think she went, but I think you and your mom.

You talked your mom into using it then.

Pretty sure it was a fun time.
